Help us build the
infrastructure of education.
XY, K.K. is a small team in Tokyo, Japan, building systems and AI products for educational institutions. We want to keep the speed and autonomy of a startup as we move to our next stage, and we are looking for people and partners to grow our products with us. Besides full-time roles, we welcome side-job, contract and advisory arrangements.
What you build gets used in real schools.
Real problems from inside schools
You will work on problems that come from actually running educational institutions. These are products people really use every day, not ideas on paper.
Ownership and fast decisions
In a small team, your proposals turn directly into product. You work close to the people who decide and the people who build, and each person's work has wide impact.
Hands-on AI product work
You will build LLMs, RAG and AI agents into production products, and gain experience turning new technology into real value for schools.
Who we're looking for.
For every role, we are flexible about the arrangement — full-time, side job or contract — and decide it together. If you're not sure whether you fit, feel free to get in touch.
Full-stack engineer
Product development with Next.js, TypeScript, Prisma and PostgreSQL. You will own operational systems for educational institutions from design through implementation.
AI / LLM engineer
Design and implementation of LLMs, RAG and AI agents. You will turn AI into something that works in daily operations, from workflow automation to on-premise AI.
Implementation & customer success
Implementation support and ongoing follow-up for educational institutions. We welcome people with experience working in education or who understand how schools operate.
Advisors / business partners
We are looking for people who can lend their expertise in education, technology or business, and for partners to work with us. Short-term, project-based involvement is welcome too.
Flexible, and built to last.
Our office is in Takadanobaba, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, Japan.
Let's start with a conversation.
